FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I am not in-network with any insurance providers. I do, however, provide superbills (receipt of services), which you can submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement and/or to count towards your deductible.

How can I use out-of-network benefits?
You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at the time of your appointment and then you can submit your superbill for reimbursement.
I recommend that you contact your insurance provider to see if you have out-of-network mental health benefits, specifically for service code 90834 (45 minute individual psychotherapy sessions.) Typically, you can be reimbursed for ~60-80% of the cost of each session once you have met your deductible.

Why aren't you in-network with any insurance providers?
One major factor is the heavy administrative burden and complexities involved, which can be time-consuming and detract from valuable time spent with clients. Additionally, insurance companies often impose limitations on the types or duration of treatment covered, which can significantly impact my ability to provide the most effective care tailored to each client's specific needs.

Do you see clients in-person or virtually?
Both. I see clients at my office in Chelsea near Penn Station and virtually via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Can we work together if I don't live in New York, Florida, or Vermont?
Yes, we can still work together through life coaching. Please note that this service is not reimbursable by insurance and you will be responsible for paying for each session in full at the time of appointment.

How often will we meet?
We will meet weekly as this is the best practice for therapeutic progress and success. I offer biweekly sessions on a case-by-case basis, typically only after you have been in treatment for over one year.

Can you prescribe medication?
I am unable to prescribe medication, but I can help you find a medication prescriber as there are many with whom I have a close working relationship. I will be happy to collaborate with your provider to help monitor and coordinate your care.
